1. An arrangement for the'sale of the former Italian liner REX to the Italian
firm Magona has been made by the Yugoslav Government. The Magona firm is
willing to purchase the hulk at the rate of eight lire per kilo for a
total of 160,000,000 lire, provid- the hulk weighs 20,000 metric tons.
2. The Yugoslavs subsequently demanded a price increase on the grounds that
the hulk weighed 30,000 metric tons.
3. The sale is currently being delayed pending the decision of a Yugoslav
Government commission arriving in Koper (Capbdistria) from Belgrade, to
determine the correct weight and to make an adjustment in the prices
