L, Major Rafael n ya Chief -of the .Salvadoran G0eneral Staff, announced
on 30 March 1919 that he and Major Oscar Osorio, member. of t! government
Junta, were in teN*99eeme>t..on the_question of liquidating the junta,
Carranza Amay& said he heed acceded to Oeorio's arg t that it would take
two weeks td amphZthe dissolution and had retracted hie, original demand
for action wit- ,n twenty-four hourso He asserted that he might have difficulty
making his colleagues accept this delay and-said he had urged Osorio to take
some positive step during ';.he week which would indicate- his intention of
carrying out the dissolution of the Junta,
