la The so-called Gotttrald `Torks, a nationalized enterrrise, vere organized
throurh the absorption of the following plants: the Ersten Brgnner Mas-
chinenfabriken, the "K$nigsfelder" (sic), Bilek c& Co. (fine sheet metal
and ventilators), Einen?iauer (crude sheet metal), Gefia (cleaning agents)-
all in Brno-and the TTeinik plant in Pferov (girders and shafts) and three
foundaries in Sudetenland.* The Ersten Br(lnner,Ilasehinenfabriken and the
"Kgnigsfelder" are responsible for the bulk of the production of the Gott-
weld corks; each plant employs 4,500 persons working in three shifts.

more expensive casting steel is used in place of grey iron,
