14 United States military trucks which had been made available to the Italian
government were recently sold to Argentina after being reconditionedo The.
trucks, which were loaded in Venice and exported by the firm onova, arrived
in Buenos Aires aboard the Italian ship I'AZARIO SAURO, They were consigned
to Ernesto Segal a Hijos, currently known as Segal & Lube], at 1164 Vieytes
Street, Buenos Aires.
2 Although it was originally believed that these trucks were being sold to
Argentina for possible transshipment to the Soviet Union, such action would
now appear unlikely inasmuch as thy; trucks are being sold on. the open
market in Argentina4
34 Segal & Lubel is closely connected with the supply section of the Art'entine
Ministry of VVar and has been currently attempting to sell that F"inistry ten
trucks, or possibly more if agreement is reached on the price.
