2. The Quito area of the Party is re anonsible for raising 8,000 sucres for the
Party's participation in the GTE conference. It was seriously doubted if Quito
would be able to Provide rlore than half its quota. Although the Iational,

PCE is in need of its ownt~ funds in. order to carry on its propaganda and
organizational worIk ?at the Congress.

other provinces as well as from the Quito area. She plans to initiate action
to collect dues in arrears from other provinces and to start a program of
voluntary contributions from the general public, particularly from small

about one-third of the 1.00 quota payers have T paid up to date and many of the re-

Province of Pichincha, the finances of the PCE city or .nivation are handled
separately. in the Quito area there are about 1,000 paying members or sympathtzere
who contribute an average of five sucres a month,,
