1A The runway of the L Z (V 54/U 33) airfield was under
repair and the flight control station at the southern
edge of the airfield was being reconditioned. bi .,
large fuel containers and two cantonment buildings-
constructed in a makeshift way were located at the
southeastern edge of the field. There were also seve-
ral uto;age paces with building material. Tiles for
the airfield were being unloaded from a boat in the
canal. Billeting equipment was trucked to the air-
f.Leld,.
2. One biplane and two single-en ine aircraft with in-
li:ne engine were parked at the airfield. .sere were also
