Ecuadoran got ernmc-nt authorities on 26 October 1949 forced a temporary settlement
of the dispute between the female employees and owners of the Inca Sedalana
textile factory, and for the present the general strike which had been threatened
unless the dispute were settled in favor of the workers* has boon averted. In
