THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1, The Six-Year Plan includes extensive projects for the develop?ent of inter
corrmunications in Poland, with ':1arsaw as the center. The Fro jects, which,

four rain tasks:

2) It is planned to exrloit Poland's peog'aphical position to secure maxi-
-mm transport for coal, iron ore, -,rain, tinter, oil, stone, etc. by
the dovolopnent of the above watormy. It is expoeted that the ggr-otr-
ing volume of goods e=h-jam od hnt~,een the 110?R and. Central and 'Iestern
Buropo =sill follow this route.

This will follo=.r the river Vistula, connectinrr the flandonierz district
(whore, in accordanc? with the Plan, a large industrial center for the
r.tetallurgical, cow ent, and electro-technical industries will be developed)

the goods will be transported in bangs of a capacity of not ^ore than
600 tons. After re-,xlation of the e,)urso of ttlo river am! dredging ?x)rk,
it will be posaiblo, to use 1,000 ton bargan.

The Canal ti:ould start, at Zeran (north of 11arsaw) on the River Vistula
and join the River Bug at Zegrzo, its purpose being to shorten the
Bug Nare,w-Vistula route,
