THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMA1ION
1. A state glass factory 'ryas constructed in Kyomip3o (12538,, 38-.44) between
August 1948 and parch 1949? Since F:aDch, the plant has been producing five
nun.. plats glass which is not of very good quality but is considered fit for
local u.set,* Some of the glass is also being smuggled into South Korea.
2. The glass is made of silica sand obtained from the coastal areas of Monump'o
(124-46, 38-12) in FAwa.nghAe Province, which previously supplied the glans
factory in Pusan..
C?TStn . This is the first production of piste glass in Norfh.
Korea sicce the end of the war, although such glass products as 'bottles
and ampoules have been manufactured previously.
