Lnportcnt Soviet air bases are situated at the follating loeatiosu
a, Telish (near Plovdiv). A considerable number of heavy bambors and trans-
port planoar with a fenv fighters., are stationed hereti A new DulgsrieA
barber unit uses this field.
b, Gorna Orahovitsa - Soviet and Bulgarian fighters and bombers are stationed
at this fields
c. Gebedzo (near Varna). This seaplane base, reportedly the largest on the
Black Sea, is located an a small river island.
Dobrioh ? Only fighter planes are stationed at this fields The latest type
Soviet fighters, equipped with Diesel motors, have been observed here0 The
largest Bulgarian training school, conwaanded by Ituosians and using only
Russian instructors, is located at this field.
9. Yambol - Soviet and Dalgariau planes are stationed at this field0
f, Bozl rishte (near Sofia) - Used only for training.
g~ Navosoltai (near Bozhuriahte) - This base is controlled by the Russians.
h, Kazanlik; (Karlavo) - A large. army and air base is located betrreon those
tcxxris. The army base is the most important in Bulgaria. These bases are
under Soviet control.,
i. Bankya (near Sofia) A large underground depot for air bombs has been
constructed in this village.
