THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The airfield of RUSTAVI (4502'E/4l632 tN ), Georgian SSR, loca-
25X1 ted near the passenger and shunting station, was believed to
be a sinall ;military airfield. `mere were no concrete take-off'
25X1 and landing strips, hangars, or permanent quartering buildings
2. Some small cantonment buildings or sheds were located close
together in the vicinity of the field.

ticed throe;-pout the day. Parachuting, has been practiced over
the area between the field and tris railroad station since the
summer of 1949.

fall of ll:48, it was assumed that the EUSTAVI airfield 'wsa.s only
used as a training; field without beln,- per,ianently occupied
b'ro.m this report, however, it is inferred that a primary pilot
school has been located at the field since at least early 19'9.
