1. Location. The "xplosives Plant is located about lo8 miles
west of ALi1CSIN (37005#x/54030'N), Tula Oblast, north of the
Oka '.liver and the railroad line to KALUG -
~. plant installations: The plant consists of a power fac-
tory, a spiri-tr,factory, the objects 472 and 473, and a
power plant. Object No. 472 was headily guarded. As
soon as its constrixction was completed and the machines
installed, Pods were not permitted to enter the workshops

The power )lant, ?ieetroyed durir,. the war, was recon-
structed in 1945? Two turbirLeo .sere in operation in 1946,

for the inatalletion of three additional turbines. T,ao of
t ieee turbines were to be installed in the turbine house
and the third one viae to be placed in an annex to the
turbine house. The outer wall of the turbine house was
opened to connect the annex with the turbine uouse. the
