THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Information has been received that, on or about the morning of 17 or
18 November 1949, a,,out 50 planes of unknown nationality flew over
Tirana. According to this information, the Albanian AA opened and
continued firing .'or about three hours; the continued intermittent
firing of the AA could be heard at a distance throughout the day. An
unconfirmed rumor stated that these planes cm-ie from Greece.*
on 8 November 1949, 11 reconnaissancee planes
flew ovor Tirana; theso were fired upon by three Ax batteries. No
inl'ormation, however, was available either confirming 25X1
or enuring the alloged fli;;hts of 17 or 18 November 1949.
