a. Course for s i m al reserve officer candidates
Twelve-month training courses, which were to be extended
to eighteen-month courses after 1 :starch 1950. Reserve
officer candidates were enrolled at the school after
completing a five-month basic training with troop units.
The last twelve-month course had about three hundred
trainees. A course for about 7b0 signal reserve officers
(of the 1917 thru 1921 classes) was conducted from 1 !,lay
to 30 August 194). Lt Col Josef HAJEK was in charge of
the officer and officer candidate courses. Staff Capt
Jaroslav CHARVAT was his deputy.
Courses for specialists.
Courses for telephone, teletypeeand radio mechanics were
conducted for EM and NCOs of units of all branches of
service. A course normally lasted nine months. There were,
however, also abbreviated courses of three months' dura-
tion. 1st Lt 1\arel MURIN was in charge of the spedalists'
training.
