Leaders of the International Confederation of Free Tr,-.de Unions (ICFTI) have decided to cooperate closely wF,rlth their governments in an effort to forestall communist action against the Mutual Defense Assistance Program. (DAP). The iriplementation of this decision was discussed at the neeting of the executive committee of the ICFTU in Brussels on 17 and 18 January. 2. The Belgian communist newwspaper, Drapeau 1' published a resolution calling on dock. workers in "`ntvrerp to refuse to unload .A)AP material. An almost identical resolution appeared in the French col unist .nevss- paper, Fiumanite indicating cooperation between the Belgian and French Co ?munist Parties. Conriunist parties are calling on workers in arma- ment factories to walk out. 3. The Federation Generale du Travail de Belgique (FG`3) published warnings to workers to beware of co ?munist activity. Another measure taken against the Cocmunists at the ICFTU meeting was the decision to establish in Brussels a Bureau of ;'ducation and Information which .-iy. function as soon r).s the I'CFTU offices pre established in Brussels. 4.
