-RETURN TO UA LIBRARY
1 Only the section surrounded by a 'wooden fence of the
former PRLETZSC:i (N WE 4L") airfield was preserved (loca-
tion see Annex). Ruins were northwest of this section,
probably destroyed cantonment buildings, There were no
indications of a landing field or technical airfield instal-
lations. The fenced-off area was surrounded by gardens
and fields.
the canton-
ment buildings had previously been utilized as a discharge
camp for returning PGs. Alleges ly, only two policemen were
now quartered in the cantonment buildings. It was rumored
that a police unit with Alsatian dogs was soon to be quar-
tered there. biers were no Soviet soldiers.
