The 0ARDJ L EN ( 1 A 53/V 44) airfield was not ser-
viceable. All technical installations were destroyed. About
2,000 soviet Artillery soldiers were quartered in the field
kasernes.
25X1 LCamment:
The information that the airfield is not serviceable contra-
diets another report of 19 October 1949. Various sources
have reported that the landing field has been used as a
training ground by army units quartered in the kasernes.
There is no indication of intended occupation of the field
by an air force unit.
