HEGYESHALOM (F 48/Y 06) was headed by a major, assisted by
a first.lieutenant and a second lieutenant, ur to 17 October
1949, The mission of the RTOts office was to check and dis==
patch alh, Soviet rail shipments going through the railroad
station and to check transient Soviet soldiers,, As the RTOQs
office had no private telephone connection it used one of the
two available Hungarian lines,;

of all Soviet shipments coming from Austria. The certificates
were transmitted to Hungarian authorities who arranged for the
payment of expenses in connection with Soviet rail traffic"
