THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
USIA has purchased large quantities of machine tools and metal-v or'kcing
machines from Czechoslovakia and Eastern Germany for Siemens-i;ngerth-
strasse. The Soviet Military Bank is advancing funds to finance these
purchases. USIA is planning to sell
]products below the current market prices.

OROP has purchased property at the corner of Schottenring and Franz Josefe-
Kai in order to Luild a large :iodorn office building in the spring of
1950. OROP is planning to expand its winter harbor and Danube installations.
Recently it ordered large quantities of electric-light fixtures
ar filling stations in Vienna and Lover Austria.
