1. The 13randenburg-.Arado (11 53/Z 23) airfield was evacuated
by the Soviet Air Force,, On?.y some materiel of the unit
transferred to Briezt (N 53/Z 13) was still stored at the
field. The Pioneer Kaserne, previously occupied by air

Transfer of the fighter regiment to F-1 - oat was confirmed
by other sources; it was made in early December 1949.
The exact number of jet aircraft assigned to the reir.-W;nt
is unknown. The regiment, which is assigned to the I Gds
Ftr Corps, was stationed in Jueterbog prior to the maneuvers
in the Fall of 1949.
