Airfields in Eaetern Siberia 50X1-HUM THIS -IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 1, After July 1942, the 132nd Separate Reconnaisance Squadron (Utdelnaya Eazvedo- vateinaya Eskaarilya), until then located at Aginski Dotsan, Chita Oblast, be- came part of the 541st Air Regiment, now located in Dairen, Korea. CO of the 132nd SRS was Major Nikitin; second in command vas major Hironov. 50X1-HUM 3. The Doeav Central Glider School (Toentralnaya Planernaya Shkola) is located near the village of Planernaya, in the neighborhood of Stary Krym, Ukraine. Headquarters of the school was to be moved to Feodosiya as soon as the building to accommodate the school was refitted es of gliders. it was 50X1-HUM expecting g or (new type) planes for the training of demobilized pilots. r-47 ~ c ar y those in demand, units (with the support of the Part v^I-nvIVI or a izat i y g n ons} discourage requests for demobilization by threats of expulsion from the Party. In 1947,-an infantry division in the Borzya region received orders to train for airborne operations. the equipment of this unit is 50X1-HUM poor and the morale of the troops not good; the troops are of Russian origin. The division consists of three regiments with heavy mortars of various types, light mortars, 75mm field artillery, but no aircraft of its own. It depends on a transport unit (similar to USAF 1iaTS) for air operations and training. The division is made up of squads of 13 men. In Feodosiya, Crimea,, in 1949, 10-12 blockhouses on the eastern 50X1-HUM side of the town. They were built into the base of a mountain. 1C. The Olovyannaya Borzya area (an area better known as ;ha'l.enkaya Manzhurka - Little Manchuria) is a vast field of trenches and installations left over from world ,'gar II. - 11. There are quartermaster and ordnance installations in Khabarovsk. At Kadala, approximately 8 km S'r'i of Chita, there are large military depots under heavy guard. The Chita garrison's depots are in the Krasniye Kazarmy (lied Barracks) in Chita. 50X1-HUM 12. two types of radar equipment, the "ledut" and the "Pegniatit". A smaller type, somewhat like a radio receiving set, is also used; the 50X1-HUM screen for the latter is placed in a very dark room, with the po+rer unit (10-12 HP motor) placed outdoors to eliminate the noise.
