~trausberg. The planes observed are apparently P -2s (glazed
nose). Other sources also frequently saw twin-engine planes

CLASSIFICATION
10 4tbout 10 aircraft practiced flying and borabin;? at the traus-
berg (i 5z/V 15) airfield all day, the Planes staying aloft for
20 to 30 minutes. The detonations sounded as if heavy-caliber
bombs were dropped.
2. The field has so far been occupied by about 40 twin-engine air-
craft, none of them with a radar set at the nose0 It was obser-
ved that some of the planes had a glazed underside of nose 0
30 1A hundred workers have been doing gradinj; work at the field
since 13 February 19500 The field was allegedly to be ex nded
southward as far as the jtrausberg-i~ohenstein (Ai 53/V 15) high-
way. The knaokery located in this area was to be removed 0 x'ie ld
workers said that a concrete runway was to be built 0 1,o indios-
tions,however,Were observed.
