C. The following observations were made:
(1) On 3 February 1950 about 30 troops practieed target de-
signation and held aiming exercises with three 76.2-mm guns.
The roar of tank notors was to be heard from the garages.
(2) Groups of-lO to 12 men trained with four 76.2r' T guns on
8 February 1950.

three 80-mm mortars, arrived at the kaserne from the training
area.
(3) :0)out 40 troops were drilled with four 76.27:n ?T guns
between the stables on 10 A:ebrury 1950.

a. NE section: still serving as quarters for transient
troops of all branches of service and for personnel going on
furlough.

as storerooms for furniture.

observations were made:

without rifles in the kaserne yard on 15 siebruary 1950.
(3) on 20 Febru:ry 1950 the followln, intensive activity
was observed at the miesberge:
About 120 nen at :icld training, 20 men qt triangle exer-
cises, 20 nen at aiming practices in prone position, three
grOuis of 10 men en eh ct terrain description, 2C nen at d ig-
ging of shallow rifle pits %nd 25 men practicing advance in
line of skirmishers.

were identified.

4. Horn Kaserne:
a. still occupied by units of various brunches of Service
totaling about 600 troops. Tank and motor transport insignia
were mostly seen.
b. Ten 37-mn kA guns, tro 57-mm AT guns and three 76.2-mm
guns without muzzle brake were standing .in the kaserne yard.
It was said that numerous -tanks were stationed in the kaserne.
7ineteen tnnhs of various types were observed.
C. The 'following observations were made: '
(1) About 35 men held aiming practices with two 76.2-mm aT
guns and one 57-mm ;T gun;. on 3 iebruary 1950.
Fifty to sixty men practiced digging entrenchments ::nd ten men
the throvinG of hand grenades in the nearby area.
(8) On 6 Ailebruary 1950 about 100 troops held aiming prncticeS
with, and practiced the displacement of, three 76.2-mn guns
i'rithout muzzle brake, allegedly guns, .aid three long-barrels.'

C. The following obscrvations were made:
(1) on 8 pebru::ry.1950 groups of lo to 12 practiced the
emplacing of seven 120-mm mortars. Two-wheel, rubber-tired
carts were seen behind the mortars.
(2) sections, each of one No? rnd four E.1? did service of the
piece drill with rive 12o-mm mortc,rs on 9 :?ebruary 1950. aixty
to eighty troops were seen at rifle drill, twelve troops at
entrenching practices ana twelve troo)s at hand Grenade throw-
ing.
(3) on 2c February 1950 about 12o troops carryinc rifles or
entreachin tools, were drilling at the water torer. They were
divided into 40-man platoons squas.
