The Hradec iralovO (0 51/G 71) air force academy rwas organized into three classes in the form of three companies (letka) which formed the train- ing squadrons (skolni perut), including mechanics, radio operators and assistants. A retraining or preparatory course for sergeants before admission to the academy courses was also held there. . 2. The academy numbered about 50 to 00 officers, 40 to 45 master 9orreants and many corporals. The first company had 98 men, the second company 54 men, the thiwl company 33 men, and the retraining course about 00 sergeans and master sergeants. There were 12 to 15 radio operators and about 90 mechanics, including about 30. corporals and GO L1. The assistants numbered about 30 men, the guard detail about 70 Ei and :the depot per- sonnel about 90 men. 3. The academy was .subordinate to the .10 (Amistry of National Jefense) air Force General staff. The officers were assigned to the academy: 50X1-HUM hrigade General Frantisek Rypl, CO of the academy Col krantisek Hurych, dpty GO, who had graduated from the military academy. 50X1-HUM jaj Ladislav Cech, co of the training squadron. - Staff Capt sachl, CO of the first company. Staff Capt Jan Turek, CO of the second company. 50X1-HUM Staff Capt Julius Drozd, CO of the third company. Jej Ladislay Hlavaty, instructor in flight training, who, was transferred to the Soviet Union in early October 1949 for political training. 50X1-HUM He was presumably succeeded by Aaj Lorenz.
