An air guard observer with a radio set is posted about 1-2 km
behind the front line. Three such observers are assigned to a
signal officer equipped with a radio set connected by telephone
to a DF station? The DF station is connected by radio and tele-
phone with the operations headquarters, which likewise is connected
with the kir force headquarters, The same kind of connection exists
between this headquarters and the army headquar.ters and individual
airfields, The operations headquarters also maintains radio and
telephone conneations with the radar stations.
3. The air force headc-narters is divided into the evaluation section.
and the command section proper. The evaluation section receives
its information from the operations section and transmits it to
the command section as a basis for its operational orders. All
the air guard observers, signal officers, DF and radar stations
are assigned to the operations section.

closest to the front line, then follow the fields occupied by
reconnaissance aircraft and light bombers, The airfields of the
heavy bombers are in the rear zone. Each of the fields is equipped
with at least a radio stationand a radar set, Dummy airfields
are to be set up sidewith operated fields in the ratio of 1:1,
