1.
On 21 and 22 March 1950, pamphlets carrying the heading Nasa Zemlja
(our Country) were distributed clandestinely among personnel of the Yugo-
s v Armed 1orces'in Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina. Pages 11 to 32 of
this 50-page pamphlet dealt exclusively with Cominform propaganda, calling
for an end to the political activity of "perfidious Tito and his delinquent
and Fascist collaborators."
2. The following is quoted from page 32: "Soldiers of the Yugoslav Army,
disobey the orders of the traitor who dared stab in the back the grandiose,
ideas of Lenin and Stalin. Sabotage your untorthy superiors. Destroy and
devastate all military installations built to make rar on the Soviet
proletariat. Cast away your arms and blow up your ammunition. Fear not
Titots thunder because his days are counted. Fly the one and only
Bolshevik flag over your barracks.: Go absent without leave and show your
courage by proving that never, but never, will Tito be able towage war
with Yugoslav blood against Soviet Russia for Fascist-American plutocracra
3. The pamphlets wore distributed with the complicity of military personnel
in the area. Many copies were found in the culture clubs and troop
barracks. ? As a result, there, has been a wave of purges in the ranks of
the Armed Forces located in Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina. To date,.
eleven non-commissioned officers, seven privates and. two officers have
been arrested. One off ider attempted to commit suicide because among his
books was found a biography on Stalin which he had written while attending
