On 21 and 22 March 1950, pamphlets carrying the heading Nasa Zemlja (our Country) were distributed clandestinely among personnel of the Yugo- s v Armed 1orces'in Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina. Pages 11 to 32 of this 50-page pamphlet dealt exclusively with Cominform propaganda, calling for an end to the political activity of "perfidious Tito and his delinquent and Fascist collaborators." 2. The following is quoted from page 32: "Soldiers of the Yugoslav Army, disobey the orders of the traitor who dared stab in the back the grandiose, ideas of Lenin and Stalin. Sabotage your untorthy superiors. Destroy and devastate all military installations built to make rar on the Soviet proletariat. Cast away your arms and blow up your ammunition. Fear not Titots thunder because his days are counted. Fly the one and only Bolshevik flag over your barracks.: Go absent without leave and show your courage by proving that never, but never, will Tito be able towage war with Yugoslav blood against Soviet Russia for Fascist-American plutocracra 3. The pamphlets wore distributed with the complicity of military personnel in the area. Many copies were found in the culture clubs and troop barracks. ? As a result, there, has been a wave of purges in the ranks of the Armed Forces located in Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina. To date,. eleven non-commissioned officers, seven privates and. two officers have been arrested. One off ider attempted to commit suicide because among his books was found a biography on Stalin which he had written while attending a Soviet military academy. ?
