JCormneett: The following item apparently was picked up in
o a a et circles in Beirut and is being diik.ributed for whatever
interest it may hold as an indication of a type of explanation of the
Baltic incident which is being spread abroad.
The American bomber flying over Lithuania on 6 April. 1950 fired on the
three Soviet fighter planes ;,,-hick had intercepted it. Consecuently, the
Soviet fienters shot it do?,,m? The American flyers were caved, but they
will never be repatriated
