It has been reported that the Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB) and the PCB in the Federal District have worked out an agreement for -mutual aid .Inring the election campaign. One of the first Communist candidates to a?rnear on the PTB ticket is FOB attorney Ifelio talcacer,* who is run- ning, for the municinal assembly. ldalcacer is well known in Brazilian labor circles and acts as attorney for several labor unions, as well as for the PCB. He was recently elected Second Vice :'resident of the Com- munist front ilssociagao Brasileira dos tar?iEos do Povo Es anhol (A?31iPE),** which organization has been inactive for some time, but which, through the efforts of '-lalcacer and other Go;at~ninist; , is being revived. 2. Tenorio Cavalc?ante, a resident of the town of Caxias, a suburb of Rio, had leclnred his candidacy on the ticket of the iini o Democretica lacional (011) for Federal Deputy. According; to a usually reliable source, Cavalcante, without consulting the UDi3, has reh-aested the aid of the local Communists in his cam sign because of the strength of the Party in Cuxias. In exchange for Co_rvmun1 st support, Cavalcante has agreed to give his support to the PCB candidate for Prefect of Caxias. The ilunici-- pal Directorate of the PCB in that town has submitted Cavalcante's -Sro?- posal to the P?ationazl Directorate, but has received no reply to plate. Sao Paulo 3.
