REPORT 40.
Chinese students recently returned from the United State ari found to be
well indoctrinated along pro-Communist lines. In China thei:? pro-Coms mist
and pro-Soviet ideas are a strong influence on otherwise neutral or even
anti-Communist fellow workers in govrernrent, professions, bu3iness, and
industry, who credit them with first hand knowledge of the relative position
and strength of Communism in the United States.
2. These returned students say thfl.t no effort is rare to indoctrinate them
against Communism while they are living in the United States.*
trashir on Comment. This indicates a definite falling away of the
activities of the Kuomintang in the United States toward the culti-
vation and, control of students.
