proved far from successful4 Antonio Yanez, the eru.ssary sent by .?lores to
Honduras on a mission to acquire money and support, returned to Li Salvador
with the information that nothing tangible in the way of assistance was to
be expected from that areao Yanez reported that the Salvadoran exiles were
powerless, and that Honduran authorities were not disposed to attempt to
alter the status-'quo in k Salvador.

According to source, Dr0 Fernando do Sandoval in Guatem la was approached
in behalf of Flores by one Jose Vaned IHoseve_r, Dr do Sandoval displayed
no interest in the Flores proposition and stated that he was preoccupied
