Communists have regularly attended Taiwanese family assemblies where such problems as rationingp registrations, and new regulations were under dis- cussion and have made speeches against the Nationalist Government and the United. States. Since late 1949 Communist activity has been continuously directed at students, particularly those attending National Taiwan University.
