l,, All onners of vineyards have been ordered to pay for the food for all workers
employed by them for the past five years. Some vineyard owners who have made
this payment have now been ordered to make further payments to the same
workers,,
2,, Vineyard owners have been ordered to furnish to the State 250 kilograms of
corn for each five hectares of vineyard, Those who did not plant corn along
the sides or between the rows of vines have likewise been ordered to deliver
similar amounts. S orne owners have purchased corn at 35 lei per ki l ogrsan,, only
to have it turned down by the authorities as not sufficiently dry. Such corn
was they accepted on payment of 10 lei per kilogram by the vineyard corners.
34, In certa~.n areas the owners have been required 'to I rnish sleeping facilities
for workers in the vineyards. In the Foosaniq Dragaaani, Galati and Iasi, areas
owners have been obliged to prepare sleeping facilities for workers who do
not sleep in the vineyard but return to their own homes,,
