In early April 1950, Communist forces conducted mopping up operations against guerrilla units in Chungshan (113-36, 22-22), Hsinhui (113-06, 22-34), Tffaishan (112-48, 22-1510 KoaipRing (112-31, 22-31), and Ting (112490 22-12) hsiens. In early April Communist authorities disarmed the Wen Kung Corps G: J.4/ in Cleao ?bug CA a-) and the Wu Kung Corps (A J16) in Ku Chen (( i4 ). on the border of Chungshan and Hsinhul hsiens in Kwangtung. Local Communists are very concerned over the action taken against them by their superiors. 4. A detachment of LIN Piaaes troops in Sankanchung, in the Fifth District of Chungshan hsien, detained and disarmed a eetechment of guerrillas commanded baaLIANG Hungakuang t). The guerrillas were under the overall com- mand of CH0EN Pei-chla( (A jt, ). $. On 22 April about 1,000 Communist troops, mostly Cantonese, replaced the same number of troops at Hungwan and Moulothsia, near Macao. There are about 8,000 unarmed Communist troops at Pal Sha Yu (f;) :0, on the border of Tnaishan and lUalpqing hsiens. Most of the troops originally stationed along the TAaishan coast were moved southward to Kmaneuel (112-48, 21-58) and Haiyen (112-38, 21,-53), and were replaced by 4,000 new arrivals. 6. Ho Pao Island (113-100 21-53) was occupied in early April by about 50 Commu- nist troops. There are more than 200 Communist troops on Kao Lan' (113-15, 21-55)0 and an artillery unit was sent to reinforce San Tsao (113-22, 22-03). 7. Communist authorities commandeered over 200 fishing boats and over 10 launches at Shihchl (113-22, 22-30) and Chiangmen (113-06, 22-34).
