A conversation on 29 June 1950 with MAONG MAUNG KYAW, the Communist
president of Rangoon University Students' Union and prominent member of
vsrious Communist front organizations, revealed that he had not yet been
informed of the Communist line in regard to the Korean situation. He
oould only repeat Soviet press releases, insisting that South Korea was
the initial aggressor, that the UN decision was not legal and that the
United States was intervening in a purely Korean problem.
