1. The operational statue of airfields in Hunan as of 3 June 1950 are as
follows:
a,, The Chi gaha airfield boated north of the city is in good condition6
It hen a staff of 60 mm and is occasionally used by transports. The
field is a prohibited area and was inspected by the Soviets in ?larch
1950.
b. The Kim (112.51, 27..54) ai rfield, unused since 1945, in in need of
ns$or repairs.
Go The Ho ng (11235, ZG..56) airfield, a heavily guarded area, was
repaired in February 1950. The field is occasionally used by transports
and 5,000 drums of. gasoline are stored there. The Soviets have made an
inspection of the field.
d. The Co istas are contemplating the repair of Pin Helen (W ) air-
field,, unused sin.. 1945. i detaaohment of 300 laborers of the Wu Kung
Tui. ($ -J .) is stationed there.
e. The Shaoyaaag (11.1.23, 27.15) airfield in occasionally used' by transports
and 300 drums of aviation gasoline are stationed there. Oa a regi nt of
the 138 Division is stationed there.
f, The Changto (11142x, 29-02) airfield Is inoperable.
g. The Chihohiaxag (109-378 2727) airfie1dr, occasionally used by trports,
was Inspected by the Soviets in April 1950. One regisaent of the 136
Divieicn,o 47 Axj is stationed there.
2. There are no tactical aircraft.. stationed on any of the airfields in Runan
and Soviet personnel are believed to be stationed ,slily at uangymg.
