1. Troops,, tanks and ammunition were continually
detrained in Lberswalde (N 53/V 08) and Nieder-
f inow (N 53/V 08) between 20 and 24 April 1950,
2,; The troops, who had closely cropped hair 9 carried
light equipment, They moved first to the barracks
on the Eberswalde-Freienwalde (r 53/V 28) road and
later to camps in the woods in the Templin (N 54/
U 81) - . ehdenick (N 54/U 70) - puerstenberg (N 54/
U 52) area.
3. Eighteen armored reconnaissance cars, twenty-four
40-mm AA guns with 2.5-meter long barrels without
muzzle brake and 36 motorcycles of a motorcycle
unit were unloaded at the Eberswalde railroad station
between ncon and 2 p.,m. on 24 April 19500

area
The information on troops detrained in Eberswalde and
departing in a westerly direction presumably indicates
the beginning of the maneuver period for units of this
army in the mentioned area.
Previous reports stated that component units of the
army were scheduled to leave for the Templin area
