lo Jacques Duclos,, member of the Politburo of the French Communist Party (FOP)
and French delegate to the Co :_anfor m9 stated at a meeting of the FCP
Politburo on 27 June 1950 that he had "good reasons to believe that the
USSR would avoid serious results developing out of Korean events". Duclos
added that he did not believe that the USSR would leave the United Nations.
20 Etienne Fajons also a French delegate to the Cominform9 stated that
Soviet Ambassador Alexei Pavlov had given strict orders to Soviet
representatives in Paris not to oont on Korea.
3. ITo special communication has been received from the Cominform by the FCP
indicating that there is to be any change in the general Party line,, and
for the time being at least the propaganda of the FCP will continue to
revolve around the "peace's campaign, Duolos stated.
