1G Two cantonriont buildin s located on the shore of
the Baltic Sea, near Gross-6chwanseev ten km NE4
of Travemuende (117 54/0 00) , were occupied on
16 April 1950 by about i5o troops wearing black-
bordered red epaulets. The troops were assigned
to patrol duty along the shore. The cantonment
buildings were built in grid-:.'arch 19500
2. On 21 ..pri1 1950 local residents said that sixty
to eighty soldiers had been assigned to coastal
defenses near Coos 9 north of Dranske (Na 55/P 58)3,
.about two weeks ago. The soldiers were al-
legedly quartered in former %1 emplacements and
brushwood huts.
