2. I'etween 15 and 20 February 1953, several railroad trains carrying troops
and artillery equipment. moved through the railroad stations of Capljina
and Gabela enroute to unspecified stations on the Adriatic coast. On
19 February, a train carrying eighteen 120 mm. guns, each. loaded on a
separate flatcar, was at the Capljina station. Attached to this train
was a flatcar carrying crated equipment. Also on 19 February, a train
carrying 20 similar guns was observed at the Gabela station. Reportedly,
three such trains had passed through the Gabela station prior to 19
February.
3. On the morning of 9 :.arch, the Artillery Regiment of the 14 Division moved
in battle array toward the Hungarian border, taking up positions ap-
proximately seven kilometers from Koprovnica. On the same day unspecified
units of the regiment returned to Koprovnica and were joined there by the
remainder of the regiment during the next few days. It is not known
whether this movement was undertaken because of operational needs or
whether it was simply an exercise in the defense and closing of the
border.
