THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
_: in the course of, the summer of 1950, the DL'R will conel. tde a series
of treaties similar to that recently concluded i 1.th Poland with the
remaining satellite countries of eastern Europe '..`ge ehosl v'akia,,
Bulgaria, Rumania, and u gary). Erich Kops, the DDB. ambassador to
Hungary and Fritz Crosse. the ambassadur to~Czechoslovakia, ~.lsitad
Walter U1br:L. nt in Berl h in the week of 12 June to discuss details
of these treaties. The treaty with CzechosIvvac1a will fix the
frontiers at the 1937 border. and will record certain trade agree-
scents. Ulbricht is planning to travel to the above four satellite
states Wing the ;um er of 195O to continue discussions concerning
these treaties. le will probably be accompanies by Crete Kuckho:f f,;
his assistant in charge of economic policy, who was present at the
Warsaw dlsca:ssion:3,.

full authorization to conclude trade agreements, but this authar?iza..
