la Professor Tdihail Ralea, former Rumanian Minister to Washingtans, has been
arrested, He was a Rational Peasant who had placed himself at the disposal
of the Communists as he had previously done with respect to the dictatorial
regime of King Carol II*. Professor Ralm was recalled from Washington in
1949, he was living in retirement and was no longer active in politics when
arrested
2, Alihail Jora, a noted composer, who was arrested and sentenced in 1949,E
after he had extolled the personality of King Mihai Is in a meeting of the
society of artists and cmposers, died in the Aiud jail in Transylvania where
political convicts are confined,, Only after his burial were his next of
kin notified,
