1, The air base at Bug on Rfi;en was completely destroyed in 1945, including
the approach road from the north. This road' however, was recozistructe
between February and the beginning of Lay 1950. It i partially paved
with stones which are ceriented together. The section of the road near the
field., hc:7everff has been completely concreted in the same fashion as the
Autobahn, The road is a highway of the first class,
2, The area is at present guarded by Volkspolizei who are quartered in sevLvoral
wooden barracks. The walls of two large caserne-.like buildings have been
completed to above the second floor.*
