THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1, The Oder River bridge on the eastern border of Schr:edt ltI 54/^ 31) has
not been rebuilt. There are no indications that it is going to be
reconsi.ructed. A terry runs to the other bank of the river? Oord`r
control is very strict, border crossing with a frontier certificate
issued by locrl authorities, theskleine vrenzverkehrs , is prohibited.

Comment. The bridge is on iieichsstrasse (National Highway) i~o. 1660
was demolished by the Uermanc near the end of the war. The steel
bridge was 190 meters lone, and 8 meters wide, The clearance over the
river was 7.5 meters at eaa water level. The structures of spans 2 and
3 on the German side of the river are destroyed. Oridl e debris was cleared
from the navigable channel of the river. The c.rango in the traffic situa-
tion brought about by Polish occupation of German territory makes it
improbable that the bridge will be rebuilt in the forseeable future.
