1. The road running from Petrich to the Yugoslav frontier is gravel surfaced
and from four to six meters wide.
2. The Kyustendil-Yugoslav frontier road is gravel surfaced, in good condition
and from six to eight meters wide.
The Sofia-Dragoman-Yugoslav frontier road is from six to eight meters wide
and stone paved, permitting the passage of truck traffic of any tonnage.
4. The following military units are located as follows:
a.
Petrich: An international brigade comprising approximately 5,000
troops. There are no Bulgarian units in Petrich.
b.
Nevrokop;
39 Infantry Regiment of 7 Bulgarian Division.
c.
Smolyan:
21 Infantry Regiment of 2 Bulgarian Division.
d.
Ziatograd:
There are no Bulgarian troops in Zlatograd.
5. The 27 Infantry Regiment, a unit of 2 Bulgarian Division, which was
formerly at Smolyan has been transferred to Kyustendil.
6. There has been no indication of a mass registration of vehicle drivers
in the. Bulgarian Army. Among the reservists recalled to date during
June and July were automobile drivers, especially from the classes of
1923 and 1926. Some were called from classes down to that of 1918.
7. The Soviet trucks in Bulgaria are of the Zis and Maz type.
