RETURN ~ C' TH FOLLOWING REPORT WAS PREVIOUSLY f#1eynifture -- - 25X1X 25X1A 10 The North Korean vehicle which shot down the F-$1 pilot on 12 August at approxi- mately 128202 36-17 was described by the pilot as an 'enormous tank' without a turret but with 50-caliber machine guns mounted on top of the hull, The pilot was uncertain whether that vehicle had one or two guns,* 2, The railroad line between Sangdong station,, Seoul and Chorwon (12712, 38-14) was in operation on 1 August. The line is possibly in operation farther north,, since a traveler arrived in Seoul on 3 August from Wonsan (12726, 39-10). 3. The branch lines at Ichon (12726, 3716) and Changhowonnni (12738, 37-36) were not operating on 5 and 6 August. It was not known whether the railroad south of Seoul was still going? lt, 25X1A 25X1X Some supplies were moving south from the Seoul area by truck convoy to the -ront lines on u August. The lead truck of each convoy carried a white flag on its rear,** Comment.
