THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
An airfield is being constructed at Wulin'u (3z
=)V ) in the Iiingshui
(0tv ) district of Chinchiang hsien, (118>34, 24.54) Fukien. Surveying
was begun in July, and the airfield is scbr;,;u1ed to be completed on 15
October 1950. Civilian labor is building the field under the supervision
of an engineer battalion from the 10 Arrr Group.
2. Since early July, a labor force of 200 to 300 has been repairing and ex--
tending Hengyang Airfield in Hunan. It is being extended eastward. It is
rumored in Hengyang that Soviet planes are coming soon.
