2. Thare is an approach road to the 0sta?a.tz (0 52/G 09) rail-
road station in the Polish.occur_ied territory o,hich is open
to the German population. The German population can use
this road without passport or visa. The road is fenced in
by barbed Tire and guarded by Polish border police.

The =oerlitz (0 72/B 00) - Zittau (0 51/F 97) railroad line
is a ..Un operated by the German Railroads chiefly to rro-
vide transportation for ,:;orkers to Goerlitz and Zittauo The
line is partly in Polish-occupied territory and crosses the
Leisse River several times. The coaches are not controlled
by Polish border officials but are sealed as soon as they
enter the Polish-occupied territory.

of the beisse itiver v hich is the provisional border
between Germany and Poland. Since it crosses this border
several times, the line was closed although the bridges over
is e Neisse Rivcr voro intact. The reopening of the line is
confirmed by the summer timetable of the German Railroads.
