2., HO., a native of i yu (113-O6,, P-31-07) district of Canton, had been In the
G -P section of CHTAITG Kai-sheks hearlinarters in Canton, and had also been
formerly chief of staff to LI Fu--tin. Furthermore, HO had been a subordinate
of I.lt' Cha a.o-ehN ar,~! anri together with LIU had defected to the
Com iuWists before the fall,of Canton.
LI Fu lin. refused to accent HO's offer since all of his nroner in Canton
had been confis ated ay the Communists. When HO failed in his emission, his
pro erty in Canton was also cenfisca.ted and therefore, he a' arently did
not return to Canton but, went to Hong Kong on 20 February 1950 and stayed
for a short while with a relative In Kowloon. Later HO purchased, a house
and two mou of land bordering the distract of Kowloon. He moved into the
house and has not since en :,ged in any political activities.
