As a result of the Thai Government crack-down on the 71 mi Communist press,
the staf" of the Mahachon is now hiding in rural Thailand. The M1ahetchon
st;at'f will establls school for Communist Pa: indoctrination in the
Thai provinces.
2, R.-nrPsentafiivns of the Chinese and Thai Communist Parties state that Naval
officers of the expected American `lnwey Mission will inspect the Thai
Navy duri_nr- their visit. Vice Admiral Pan Nawawichit has allegedly ordered
his subordinates +o make the necessary arrangements for rendering every
assistance to the Americans during this tour of s_nspection.
