The grenade strucle the -rear of the car and. bounced off, exploding in the street and Injuring 12 persons, one of whom died at,er. Two constables in the car were injured slightly. 2. The ?.renade thrower is believed to have been a young Chinese who escaped in t-.z-e confusion following the explosion. There is no specific evidence to provee that the Incident was the work of the f'a1ays.n Communist Party (MC? Shock Troops. The grenade was a Number 36 hand grenade which obv'icusly ? as in better condition han most of those now available t-o the 1`CP. The ? '
